Alida comments:   Here is a link to the Witley Court page on the English Heritage site http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/server/show/nav.16927    It's a stunning place - I think much better for being a ruin than the over-decorated pleasure palace it must have been.  The attached church, not damaged in the 1937 fire and subsequent vandalism, is described as having an 'amazing Italianate Baroque interior' - enough to drive a person to minimalism in my opinion!
